In addition to our volunteer mentor opportunities, W2WM loves having women share their strengths, ideas, and connections with our organization to help us help even more women thrive. This can be done through our committees, workgroups, and Board of Directors.

If you love sharing the good work of W2WM with others, this is the committee for you! The Community Outreach works to better coordinate and support community partnerships, outreach, and engagement initiatives to expand W2WM’s awareness and scope with community stakeholders. The Committee identifies opportunities to positively represent the W2WM mission to increase engagement with donors, program participants, community organizations, and other partners.

Woman to Woman Mentoring strives to create programs and services that represent the full diversity of the Frederick County community. The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee provides W2WM with proactive, intentional leadership that examines all current practices through a DEI lens, making recommendations to promote best practices and assisting with the implementation of any changes. Diverse backgrounds and experiences drive the wholistic views this Committee brings, so volunteers of all backgrounds are welcome.

We value the input from our alumnae and want to be sure that we remain aware of the needs of women in our community. The Alumnae Advisory Council advises the Board of Directors and Staff of Woman to Woman Mentoring to ensure programmatic impact, community engagement, and organizational visioning remains high. Using their perspectives, expertise, and experiences, members of the Alumnae Advisory Council will review the organization’s programs, offer suggestions and feedback on new opportunities, and act as a voice for W2WM alumnae in various efforts.

Financial stability allows Woman to Woman Mentoring to offer its amazing programs and services to the community at no cost. The Finance Committee provides fiscal accountability and oversight that allows W2WM to continue doing its great work. Some financial experience is recommended for this committee.

If you’re interested or experienced in policy, training, or governance then you belong on this committee! The Governance Committee is responsible for managing the organization’s policies, recruiting new Board Members, assisting with trainings, and assessing the performance of the Board.

Let's Power Mentoring Together!

We’d love to hear where you think your passions can be most amplified!
